“This Nantucket Island is beautiful. My hubby didnt think he would like the white but he loves it and so do I.
My brother and I took our time and assembled it. We actually went the extra mile and wood glued all the flat surfaces that met each other, just creating extra sturdiness. The top is very nice and thick. The brackets that hold the leaf are wood which swing in and out. There is also a plastic slot which the brackets clip into to stabilize them while the leaf is up. So glad they weren’t metal brackets. Added bonus. Nice side shelves. Magnetic closures for front doors.
The instructions are easy to follow. The packing box for the top had a dented tear in it which caused a unsightly dent in the top. I took pictures of the box and top and they shipped me out another top. Very happy about that. I think it was careless shipping. The drawer slider was off center a bit. This part is factory assembled. my brother just moved it a bit. (he’s a carpenter)

Stools and Chairs for Kitchen Island
The normal table height is 30 inches and a kitchen island height is 36 inches. So you will need a 24 inches stool (with or without back). A 29 inches stool would be too high for a kitchen island.
